Yummy, Messy Goodness

I am not the world's most neat baby feeder; Will's not the neatest baby eater. That being said, I think he and I mostly enjoyed his first venture into his first venture in the culinary world beyond formula - the ever delicious rice cereal.

Miles of Smiles

Happy kiddos in my house make my heart fill with joy! Not that it's always rosy around here (who gets the camera out in the middle of an tantrum anyway?), but overall, life is really great in the family department. Don't get me wrong, we have regular ups and downs like everyone does and do our share of wits-end parenting, but between the cries of frustration and whines of fatigue (mine usually), we are thankful for the loads of laughter and happy times we share.

Jaycie's Locks of Love

Before, during, and after: Jaycie donated 10 inches of lovely tresses to the "Locks of Love" program. What a transformation! My little girl is growing up [sigh]!

Lots of Happenings

Will's smiling and cooing, Hannah's potty training and nursing a broken arm (see Lee's blog for details), and Jaycie's
enjoying life as a fourth grade soon-to-be violinist. I am falling asleep (on the couch still in daytime clothes usually) way too soon in the evenings and not getting near enough done on the home front, but life is good. That's all for now; laundry's calling.

Hip-hip, Hooray!

We are all cheering here at the Fowlkes household, with Will leading the charge. In the infamous words of Barry Manilow, "Looks like we made it!" We are now past the 20-day marker, and we are resting easier, knowing that adoption proceedings can progress to/through the courts. Thank you, Lord for getting us here, and thanks to all our friends for the encouragement and prayers! We are awed at the blessings of this journey, and look forward to being the "Fowlkes Family of Five" for the days, weeks, and months to come.
