Brokenhearted Good-byes

Worst case scenario isn't hypothetical anymore: the baby's birth parents changed their minds. Their emotions were too strong, their logic not so much. The adoption case worker just left, and Will's gone. We're hurting but not bitter. We knew there would be risks. Now there's an empty spot where a beautiful life used to be. The hole that he left in our lives will grow smaller with time, but now it's raw and aching. However, God has provided and will continue to provide in ways we can only imagine. The only thing I ask is that you join us in taking this heartbreak to the Father of all comfort. Pray for Will's safety; pray for his heart; pray for his family of birth to dig deep and work hard to be able to provide for what he needs in all areas of his sweet little life; pray for us to recover. Just pray.

Ashley and Lee, Jaycee and Hannah-
I'm very, very sad for each of you and baby Will. My prayers go up for your comfort. My heart swells at the kindness you have already shown this couple and by doing so, showing them Jesus's love. We're thinking of you and love you - Maureen Proctor

We prayed, we talked,we prayed some more
We searched our souls, to the very core
Do we take the risk, do we take this step,
Do we go from sleeping, to never slept
Add to our load, add to our joy
Add to our four, a baby boy
The risks are high, the rewards are great
Despite the waiting, it's worth the wait
We held him tight, we held him near
The birthparents were wavering, our biggest fear
We loved baby Will, as much as we could
Just not as much, as we hoped we would
We shared our love, our lives were blessed
Those few precious days, were simply the best
Now all we can do, is pray God's will
To bless all concerned, and help us heal.

Lee, Ashley, and girls,

My heart is absolutely aching for your family. God has a wonderful plan for you and your family. Jeremiah 29:11 is a comforting verse of scripture. We love you and are praying for you.

I'm really not Gina... I'm Debbie.

I sit here with tears in my eyes. I'm so sad for your family, I told Gina tonight, that I don't even know you and my heart is breaking for you. I am praying that the King of kings and Lord of Lords will wrap His loving arms around your family and comfort you in the way you need. I agree with Gina, Jeremiah 29:11 is a great scripture for me when times are hard. So is Psalms 37. I will be praying for your family.

God be with you.
