Hannah On the Move

This was taken the day Hannah got shots and had blood drawn, so she was a little bit more cross than usual and not quite as steady on her feet. Regardless, there are some cute moments in this clip. The latest expression she likes to make is a pitifully sad face (which is actually kind of funny); she furrows her brows and makes her mouth into an "o" shape, then whines a bit holding her feel-sorry-for-me pout. See if you can catch it.

Random Cute Shots

Taking digital pictures is so much fun. I like this series of pics I took when she was exploring things in her diaper bag. She started with her soccer ball then finished with her book - she's a well rounded gal!

The others are just to demonstrate the many faces - and hair styles - of the world's sweetest baby Hannah.

Yoga Moves

I love yoga, and apparently Hannah does, too. I think, however, that she loves her big sister even more.

Learning to Walk Video 2

This was filmed the day we had our first post-placement report (Tuesday, 3/13). Hannah had taken her first independent steps last week, but we hadn't captured it on film until now. This is a fun one because we are all in on the action and commentary (I especially love Jaycie's). More to come!

Learning to Walk Video 1

I filmed this before Hannah began taking steps on her own, but I'm just now getting it up on the blog. She can walk about 3 or 4 steps by herself (Sunday was her best walking day yet), but she's on to our tricks to get her to do it, so the forward momentum has slowed. We captured that on video, too, but I'll have to post it later. She does wonderfully if we're holding one or two hands, too, so independent walking is on its way soon! Never a dull moment in the Fowlkes household!

Happy Family

I took some photos for our first post placement report and these are from that session. We were using the timer to get the ones w/ Lee & me in them (that's why I look more relaxed in the ones with the girls and our whole family). Life is much busier and so wonderful as the Fowlkes Family of Four!

Jaycie's First Big Game...

...and she was great! Congrats to the Dream Team for their first win, and thanks to Coach Lori for all the hard work and enthusiasm! Take a look at Jaycie's Journal for more details!

Fowlkes' Funniest High Chair Videos

Please ignore the amateur vocals.

Green Eggs and Hamlet

Back on March 2, to celebrate the anniversary of Dr. Seuss' birthday, our resident expert omlette chef (along with his new non-stick Wolfgang Puck skillet that his lovely wife found for him on sale at TJMaxx) fixed the infamous green eggs and ham - in an omlette form, of course.

He thought it was scrumptious; Jaycie -- not so much.

Strength of Heritage - Fowlkes New and Old

Hannah met her oldest living relative, her 93 year old great- granddaddy, this week. Unfortunately, G-G-daddy was in the hospital because of a fall which resulted in broken bones in his leg and ankle. The two Fowlkes did, however, get to spend a little quality time enjoying each other's company. She "honked" his nose (he obliged and gave her a great big "honk") and sat in his bed for awhile doing some of her tricks, before playing with the equipment became too great of a temptation. G-G-daddy is a wonderful man, whose birth in 1915 was a blessed event. No matter how long his life on earth is, Godd will bless future generations through him. We love you, G-G-daddy!

Sweet Kissy Face & Ponytails

Isn't this the sweetest?

More Aunts, and Uncles, and Cousins - Oh, My!

Here are a few more pics from our Louisiana trip. This was the first time Jaycie met her Cosby / Cooper aunts and uncles, her Cosby cousins, as well as her Great Grandma Manly and Great Aunt Bea. We had a house full of girls, and oh, what fun!
