Now and Then; Then and Now

Then, we were freshly home from China, adjusting to our transformation into a family of four. Now, we're managing quite happily and comfortably - albeit incredibly more actively - as a family quartet.

Then, we had no idea where God would take us in a year. Now, we're living those times.

Then, we were asking, seeking, and knocking. Now, we are asking, seeking, and knocking.

Then, several doors remained closed. Now, several have opened.

Then, I was a stay-at-home mom. Now, I am preparing to trade places with Lee to work full time outside the home.

Then, Lee was one of the older full-time youth ministers of the bunch. Now, he's planning to stay at home and work part-time, something we've always considered but never been able to do - until now.

Then, we loved our church family. Now, we love our church family.

Then, we were blessed. Now, we are blessed. Please pray for us as we make this transition.

I read Lee's thoughtful message in GP's bulletin this morning. I'm thinking and praying for you all in this new transition. Will you, by chance, be managing the new Alvaton/Plano branch? Peace my friend!

It sounds like you and Lee have a wonderful opportunity at hand that I feel like God has placed before you. Lee will make a great stay at home dad, something that not every father could do and you, well you are wonderful at whatever you do and I know how much you have a love for your family and for this new adventure that you are about to take on. What a great opportunity for you. Love and miss you!!!

You guys are so sweet; I really appreciate your support. I am currently managing the Graham Drive Branch as a part-timer and will co-manage the new branch out Plano way when it opens this winter (or early spring). When I go full time, I'll also be working with the Smiths Grove Branch, all of this while balancing PR responsibilities, so pray for me!

Wow... what a ride you've had over the past year! We're supporting you all from St. Louis as you start writing this new chapter in your lives.

We've been impressed with you from the very beginning in China. I know this transition will be both difficult and rewarding at the same time, and if there was ever a family up to the challenge it would be you.

Keep your positive outlook on life, keep your faith in God and each other, and know that you've got good friends a couple miles to the West if you ever need a get-away.
