I love this series of shots of Hannah in her high chair. She loves to share her food, and when she's finished, she gives me her plate. Occasionally, she'll dump the plate and hand it to over before she's finished eating. Guess she wants me to get a head start on doing the dishes.
We have made the switch from formula to whole milk, but she still prefers to drink it warm and in her bottle. She finds the sippy cup more fun with cold water in it. I'm sure that eventually the milk/cup transition will take place. Meanwhile, I'm really still enjoying the bonding time of bottle feeding.

Loving Each Other
Despite the worries, frustrations, and unease of this chaotic, confusing world, the love of family keeps us going. When our physical family cannot be close at hand, our spiritual family can step in and fill the gap. All thanks go to God for my earthly family, my spiritual family, and the bonds of friendship and love which pull us closer to each other and to Him.

Movin' On Up
Hannah's physical development is going very well, almost too well at times (usually when my back is turned). It's rather difficult some days to keep up with her!
She is now - drumroll, please - in addition to being an adept independent walker, quite the curious explorer! In addition to her two-legged mobility, she has decided that climbing is her new hobby.

I think *rappelling is next (*not "repelling"- oops; thanks, Joe!!).

Happy Easter!
Hannah and Jaycie started out the Easter weekend at a neighborhood egg hunt, hosted by friends from down the street. It was a cold event (our hostess had to hide eggs amidst snow flurries that morning), but the whole crew had loads of fun. It didn't take Hannah long to figure out how the fun worked, and she and Jaycie ended up with a basket full of candy and prizes.
The festivities continued into Sunday, when we went to the Fowlkes grandparents' house for lunch, followed by another hunt with the Coggins cousins. The weather was much sunnier and warmer on than it had been on Saturday, which made it more comfortable to be outside.
(I forgot my camera at home, so I'll have to get Lee's pics and post them later.)
I am so thankful for my family today, and for the saving power of God's mercy and grace, a fact that folks the whole world over celebrate this weekend.

Go Fish: Jaycie's Stage Debut
Jaycie's play was last night, and she was awesome! She played a zebra fish with spots (I made her costume!), and she delivered all of her lines on cue. This was the first time she'd wanted to have a speaking part, and she got a good one! My favorite line: "Yeah, my extreme makeover didn't turn out quite right."
Hannah helped Daddy film the fun then spent some time dancing to the cute musical numbers.
Nannie and Grandaddy had dinner with us beforehand and came with us. They braved a really bad storm on the way hom, but they got home safe and sound. The principal actually had the play start early because he was afraid the storm might impact the performance, but it went around us.
